Sailor has just announced that it will be bringing out two new series of 1911 Large pens. The first pens in these new series are arriving later this month, and we’re now accepting pre-orders.
The 1911 Large 14k series will feature four solid color pens equipped with 14k nibs in all seven Sailor tipping sizes. The 1911 Large Shining series will feature four sparkle-accented colors with 18k nibs, again in all seven tipping sizes.
While details are still uncertain, it seems likely that Sailor will be discontinuing the production of 1911 Large pens with 21k nibs, and that all Sailor pens will be seeing significant price adjustments within the next months.
For the present, we are maintaining current pricing on all existing in stock Sailor products – if you’ve had an eye on a Sailor pen and haven’t yet made the decision to order, we strongly advise doing so soon.
