Description
This Montblanc 25 Coral Red Celluloid is a true piece of fountain pen history. Danes had a supply of pre-war nibs and access to materials from the west. Hard pressed by the deprivations of the war and the shortage of materials, the Danish factory produced inventive clip and crown configurations of which this is one.
This pen is from the period from 1946 to 1949. The barrel and cap are celluloid and the feed is hard rubber. They seem to have had a good supply of excellent nibs of which this lovely #6 is an example. The button-filler system allows for the use of any bottled fountain pen ink.
This pen is from the personal collection of nib specialist John Mottishaw.
