“Nalu,” meaning “wave” in Hawaiian, references the pen’s gently flowing contours and harmonious design.

As one of the latest designs introduced by Eboya, the Nalu stands out with its streamlined cylindrical body, lustrous surface, and striking color pairings. It has quickly earned admiration for the balanced aesthetics and meticulous craftsmanship typical of the Eboya brand.

Eboya is the artisanal manufacturing arm of Nikko Ebonite—Japan’s premier producer of high-quality ebonite. This material, created from the vulcanized sap of rubber trees, is celebrated for its strength, warmth in hand, and time-tested reliability. It’s no coincidence that so many vintage ebonite pens are still in daily use decades after their creation.

The Nalu pairs this legacy material with a precision-made 14k gold nib manufactured by Bock, the venerable German nib maker used by many of Europe’s leading pen brands. This nib serves as an excellent base for our custom tuning and specialty grinds, including Architects Point, Stub, and Cursive Italic styles. It also takes well to our noted flex modifications.

The Nalu’s cartridge-converter filling system is compatible with both short and long standard international cartridges, as well as standard converters. We include a Pelikan converter and a Pelikan ink cartridge with every Eboya Nalu pen purchased through us.
