The Visconti Homo Sapiens Crystal Dream features the specially cured balsatic lava for which most of the pens in the Homo Sapiens series are best known. Add to that a transparent ink section and bronze trim and you have a pen that is immediately recognizable as a new Visconti classic.

The pen is provided with your choice of 18k solid gold nib, also produced in-house at the Visconti workshop in Florence. Our free nib tuning services bring out the best in these handcrafted nibs and feeds.

The Extra Fine and Fine nibs are highly suitable for everyday writing and note-taking. The Medium nib offers an even smoother writing experience and can also serve as the basis for some of our nib customizations.

For our nib customizations, however, it is really the Broad and stock Stub nibs that provide the best starting points for our nib specialists. The Broad nib is an excellent choice for regrind customizations such as Cursive Italic and Left Oblique.

The Visconti stock Stub nib, with its 1.3 mm tipping size, provides an even better starting point for these customizations, and also is one of the best choices available for our noted Architects Point modification. Whatever your writing needs may be, the combination of our complimentary nib tuning and optional nib customizations can deliver the results you want to see on the page.
