Description
The Tibaldi Bonanino pen is made from well cured celluloid and was produced in 1999. This one is number 199 of an edition of only 500, making it a scarcer fountain pen from more than 25 years ago.
The celluloid is imbedded with iridescent pieces of abalone which reflect light depending on the angle. This pen is beautufully shaped for balance and with the barrel threads to the front is very comfortable to hold in the hand. Tibaldi began business in 1916 making it one of the oldest fountain pen companies in Europe.
Both the pen and the 18K nib are in beautiful condition as they come in a Tibaldi box that has protected it. It comes with pamphlet and papers. This pen is from the personal collection of PacificPenWorks nib specialist John Mottishaw.
