Description
This Sheaffer’s Lifetime Jade Flat-Top pen was produced in Fort Madison, Iowa around 1928 as indicated by the straight pocket clip and just before the tapered streamline models. It sports a beautiful smooth 14K fine nib that Sheaffer’s was famous for, which writes easily in all directions while yielding a consistent line.
The barrel imprint is sharp and clear. The name “Wm. KERN” is professionally machine-engraved on the barrel, adding to the pen’s provenance. Notice the very small F on the end of the barrel, indicating that this is very likely the original nib provided with this pen. It is from the John Mottishaw collection.
