This black and pearl Sheaffer’s Chatelaine Pencil from ca. 1926 was intended to be carried either on a chain in a vest pocket or around the neck. In very good condition, with excellent colors and very light wear, this is great example of a celluloid pencil with gold-fill plating.

Made in Fort Madison, IA along with their famous and sturdy fountain pens, at 4 5/8” long not including ring, this Sheaffer’s Chatelaine Pencil has the girth for comfortable writing. It is from the personal collection of John Mottishaw.
