The Sailor 1911 Large Bengal Tiger Limited Edition has been produced in an edition of just 88 numbered pieces worldwide.
Maki-e artist Katsunobu Nishihara was born into a family with a history of Maki-e work in Hiroshima. He studied extensively in the traditional craft center of Wajima before returning to Hiroshima to pen his own workshop.
Nishihara-san’s work has been featured in numerous exhibitions and he is the recipient of multiple award for excellence in Maki-e work. He is also responsible for much of the Maki-e work that has been seen on Sailor fountain pens over the past twenty years, including the noted Creatures of the Deep series and numerous other memorable limited editions.

The Sailor 1911 Large Bengal Tiger Limited Edition is a cartridge-converter pen. It is supplied with a reusable ink converter that allows it to fill utilizing bottled fountain pen ink. It can also use handy Sailor ink cartridges, now available in a wide array of different colors.
