Description
Pilot Vanishing Point 18k Rhodium Nib Units are provided in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad and stock Stub tipping sizes. While these can be used in any contemporary Vanishing Point or Decimo fountain pen, the trim specifically matches rhodium trim pens.
As these are complete nib units, they can be provided with our usual nib tuning and the full range of customizations suited to 18k solid gold nibs. Choose broader tipping sizes from best results with regrind customizations such as Architects Point, Cursive Italic, and Stub.
The Vanishing Point stock Stub only provides modest line-width variation in unmodified form. However, its broad tipping size makes it the best starting point for our regrind customizations – it is not at all unusual, for instance, for a customer to order the Vanishing Point Stub and then add our own customization to Stub to it.
A Pilot CON-40 ink converter is included with each nib unit, allowing it to use bottled fountain pen ink. Pilot’s own Iroshizuku inks, provided in more than twenty different colors, always make an excellent choice. Pilot Vanishing Point Nib Units can also use Pilot ink cartridges, also available in a wide variety of nuanced colors.
