Description
The Eboya Nalu Miyabi Blue and Brown makes a striking impression with its captivating color palette. The name “Miyabi” evokes images of traditional Japanese sophistication and aesthetic elegance—an apt title for a pen of such beauty. The word “Nalu,” borrowed from Hawaiian, translates to “wave,” a nod to the pen’s fluid silhouette and smooth curvature.
Introduced as a recent addition to Eboya’s offerings, the Nalu model is known for its cylindrical profile, glossy finish, and vivid color combinations. Its stylish form and thoughtful craftsmanship have quickly made it a favorite among fountain pen enthusiasts.
Handcrafted by Eboya—the artisanal division of Nikko Ebonite—this pen reflects the company’s expertise in working with high-grade ebonite. As a hardened material derived from natural rubber tree sap, ebonite is prized for its resilience, durability, and warm, tactile feel. Many century-old pens made from ebonite are still in everyday use today.
Beyond its material excellence, the Nalu is fitted with a 14k gold nib made by Bock, provider of nibs to many of the most well-known European fountain pen manufacturers. Whether you’re interested in an Architects Point, a Stub, or a Cursive Italic, this nib provides a superb starting point. It’s also well-suited for our flex modifications, offering additional expressive possibilities.
Designed for practicality as well as beauty, the pen uses a cartridge-converter filling system and accommodates both standard international short and long cartridges, along with compatible converters. Every Nalu purchased from us includes a Pelikan international converter and a Pelikan ink cartridge, ensuring you’re ready to write right out of the box.
