Handcrafted by Eboya—a distinguished name in artisanal pen-making—the Kyouka series is noted for its graceful, cylindrical silhouette and classic styling. The Wakaba Yellow Green finish adds a vibrant yet elegant contrast to the pen’s traditional ebonite material, emphasizing both visual appeal and craftsmanship.
Eboya operates under Nikko Ebonite, a respected Japanese producer known for supplying high-quality ebonite to many prominent pen brands. This material, sourced from the resin of the Asian rubber tree, is prized for its enduring quality—vintage pens made with ebonite over 100 years ago still function beautifully. Through Eboya’s expert shaping and polishing, each pen showcases unique surface characteristics and a refined tactile feel.
Each Kyouka fountain pen is equipped with a 14-karat gold nib crafted by Bock, the renowned German nib maker which also supplies nibs to many of the best-known European pen brands. These nibs serve as excellent foundations for our complimentary tuning and optional custom grinds.
Writers interested in expressive line variation can opt for a Medium nib reworked into a Cursive Italic or Stub. For added Flex, we recommend modifying either the Fine or Medium Fine nibs. If you prefer even finer lines, we also offer regrinds to Extra Fine or Needlepoint.
This model uses a cartridge-converter system, compatible with standard international cartridges (both short and long), along with most standard converters. We include a Pelikan-made international converter at no additional charge with each Eboya fountain pen.
