Dating from the late 1920’s or early 1930’s, this Diamond Point Tan Marble Celluloid fountain pen is an extremely scarce and desirable color. The original nib was retipped by John Mottishaw during the 1990’s to Double Broad Stub.

Free nib tuning with your purchase tests for optimal performance and adjusts angle, ink flow, and pressure to your own personal specifications. The retipped nib can also make an excellent starting point for a wide variety of nib customizations. We can also leave the pen as is for collectors who do not wish to have it re-inked.

Description

Diamond Point Pen Company was a small manufacturer located in Chicago that specialized in uniquely colorful celluloid models in the late 1920’s and early thirties, a period that many consider the golden age of fountain pens. This Diamond Point Tan Marble Celluloid is a remarkable and particularly rare example of the company’s work.

This large flat-top, lever filler has a screw on cap and a fresh rubber bladder. The color is remarkable in that it is not discolored with age.

In better than excellent condition, this is a collectible grade pen from the John Mottishaw collection.
