Aikin Lambert Co. was one of the early makers of fountain pens specializing in hard rubber pens, especially in the early 1920’s after it was purchased by Waterman’s Co. This is a fully restored lever filled fountain pen, a prime example in MINT condition.
The barrel chasing is like new and the imprint reading, “CAPITOL CABINET” / AIKIN LAMBERT CO. NEW YORK / MADE IN U.S.A. is so crisp that it can be read with fingertips. It sports a gold medium flexible re-tipped nib which delivers a varying line width. The nib has already been customized here. This pen is from the Mottishaw collection.
