The Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters or Messier 45, is an open star cluster in the constellation Taurus, visible to the naked eye as a small grouping of bright stars. Actually composed of several hundred stars, it is about 440 light-years away and often studied for insights into stellar formation and evolution.

The 1911 Large is a cartridge-converter pen. It is supplied with a reusable ink converter that allows it to fill utilizing bottled fountain pen ink. It can also use handy Sailor ink cartridges, now available in a wide array of different colors.
