This Récife Andy Warhol Marilyn Monroe Limited Edition Set is based on Warho’s famous silk screen print in pink, yellow and black of 1967.
Récife of Paris has been a manufacturer of pens and luxury goods since the 1930’s. It is well-known for its collaborations with artists and other luxury goods manufacturers.
The included documentation describes the evolution from print to pen, from Warhol’s purchase of a 1950’s publicity photo of Marilyn Monroe, to the processing of multicolored sheet materials that were cut into rods for the forming of the bodies of these pens.
Produced in 1994 by Récife of Paris, the set and all documentation is in Near Mint condition except for a wax seal that is cracked. This offering includes all packaging including two inscribed lucite tubes, felt pouches, and the original cardboard box.
