Description
This Bexley Midnight Blue Limited Edition is number 54 of what was projected to be 250 total pieces, but it is not known if the full run of this early prototype was ever completed. It is provided here in a later Bexley presentation box which has protected it well.
Columbus, Ohio based Bexley was one of the major forces in the fountain pen revival of the 1990’s, and writing instruments from this early period in the company’s history are now scarce and in high demand.
This is a button-filler pen which can use any conventionally formulated fountain pen ink. It is fitted with a new correct #18 size bladder and has an early style hard rubber feed and gripping section.
This extremely rare writing instrument is a true piece of Americana and fountain pen history and comes from the private collection of PacificPenWorks nib specialist John Mottishaw.
