Visconti adds a new dimension to the iconic Homo Sapiens Lava series with the Lava Color series. The Visconti Homo Sapiens Lava Color Inferno, with its rich red hue, is a particularly beautiful and memorable example. A special finishing technique both adds color to the basaltic lava, harvested from the slopes of Mt. Etna in Italy, and also provides a smooth anti-stain coating.
These pens have a pleasing tactile feel in the hand that make them a favorite for many in the fountain pen community. A special galvanic treatment gives the dark trim a subtle glossy shine, while the cap and barrel seal together with a convenient and innovative magnetic lock.
The14k Ruthenium nib is provided in your choice of Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, and a stock Stub. The broader nib sizes provide a terrific basis for our regrind customizations such as Stub, Cursive Italic, and Left Oblique.
As these are 14k nibs, they can also be provided with our modification for added Flex – finer tipping sizes are usually the best choice for Flex customizations.
