Description
Featuring dark ruthenium trim, the Visconti Homo Sapiens Lava Dark Age utilizes specially cured balsatic lava for the pen body. Holding this pen is a unique and pleasurable tactile experience. The pen is provided with your choice of 18k solid gold nib, also produced in-house at the Visconti workshop in Florence.
The Extra Fine and Fine nibs are highly suitable for everyday writing and note-taking. The Medium nib offers an even smoother writing experience and can also serve as the basis for some of our nib customizations.
For our nib customizations, however, it is really the Broad and stock Stub nibs that provide the best starting points for our nib specialists. The Broad nib is an excellent choice for regrind customizations such as Cursive Italic and Left Oblique.
The Visconti stock Stub nib, with its 1.3 mm tipping size, provides an even better starting point for these customizations, and also is one of the best choices available for our noted Architects Point modification. Whatever your writing needs may be, our complimentary nib tuning and optional nib customizations can deliver the results you want to see on the page.
The Visconti flair for style and innovation is not limited to the basaltic lava body material. An innovative hook-latch system secures the cap to the barrel, while the power filler system provides for an ample capacity using the bottled fountain pen ink of your choice.
