Description
This Sheaffer’s Mini 3-25 Black and Pearl fountain pen has some unusual features. This smooth fine flexible nib was not available on the more expensive Lifetime models, as they usually had thick heavy gold nibs made for endurance. This one shows line variation which can be enhanced here by our flexing operation.
We have listed this pen as only Fair condition, the lowest score because of the stabilized cracked barrel, as well as some brassing on the pocket clip. Neither of these flaws prevents this Mini pen from performing well.
Manufactured in Fort Madison, Iowa shortly after the financial crash that sparked the Depression, this pen sold for three dollars at the time and was guaranteed for 25 years. This pen is from the personal collection of PacificPenWorks nib specialist John Mottishaw.
