The Sailor 1911 Large Green Gold with 14k nib adds new versatility to the flagship 1911 model. This is a pen that is every bit the equal in quality, writing, and company tradition to any comparable fountain pen available, including well-known European designer brands often selling for twice as much.
Sailor is renowned for the quality of their nibs and the variety of tipping sizes available. Finer nibs from Extra Fine through Medium are highly suitable for everyday note-taking. Broader nibs, on the other hand, make excellent starting points for customizations such as Stub or Cursive Italic. Choose the unique Zoom nib for best results with our Architects Point customization.
These Sailor 14k nibs can also be given our modifications for added Flex. Though these are smooth-writing rigid nibs that are not as inherently well-suited to Flex modifications as are soft and semi-soft nibs from brands such as Pilot and Platinum, many users enjoy the added feedback and line-width variation that can result from Flex modifications on Sailor 14k nibs.

The Sailor 1911 Large Green Gold 14k is a cartridge-converter pen. It is supplied with a reusable ink converter that allows it to fill utilizing bottled fountain pen ink. It can also use handy Sailor ink cartridges, now available in a wide array of different colors.
