Description
Celluloid is one of the classic materials for high quality fountain pens, and the Platinum 3776 Century Celluloid Koi utilizes this material to beautiful effect. This durable and versatile writing instrument is an excellent choice as a dependable everyday writer, and the memorable appearance also makes this a particularly appropriate gift item for special occasions.
Beloved in Japanese culture, Koi are seen as symbols of perseverance, strength, and good fortune. The small Koi which transforms itself into a dragon is a recurring motif. They can also be seen as symbols of love and devotion.
Provided by us in seven different nib tipping sizes ranging from Super Extra Fine to Double Broad, the Celluloid Koi employs a cartridge-converter filling system – the pen can use convenient disposable Platinum brand ink cartridges, and can also utilize bottled fountain pen ink when fitted with the provided reusable converter.
Our free nib tuning sees to it that your pen is writing properly and tuned to the specifications you provide. What’s more, our much-noted nib customizations can add uniqueness and calligraphic styling to the writing you produce on the page.
Broader nibs are best for regrind customizations such as Architects Point, Stub, and Cursive Italic, while the Fine Soft nib is most appropriate for the Flex and special Super-Fine Super-Flex modifications.
Each pen ships in a special presentation box which includes instructions, the converter, and a starter ink cartridge. PacificPenWorks is an authorized retailer of Platinum products.
