Blue is one of the most challenging colors to create in natural urushi lacquer, and the Pilot Custom Urushi Prussian Blue showcases the work of the skilled artisans who produce this painstakingly hand-applied finish. The konjo-iro hue is a particular favorite of ours here at PacificPenWorks – in fact, it the color we have chosen for our own logo!
The Pilot Custom Urushi is a cartridge-converter fountain pen and is provided with the high capacity Pilot CON-70 converter, which can give it an ink capacity rivaling and surpassing that of many piston-fillers. It can also use standard Pilot and Pilot Iroshizuku ink cartridges, available in more than twenty different carefully nuanced colors.
Free nib tuning with your purchase ensures that your Pilot Custom 743 is optimized to the specifications you provide. Our optional nib customizations can add uniqueness and calligraphic styling to the writing you produce on the page.
Choosethe Broad nib for best results with regrind customizations such as Architects Point, Cursive Italic, and Stub. And if the 18k Fine Medium nib is not fine enough for you, regrinds to Fine, Extra Fine, and Needlepoint can be provided.
Each pen ships in a special presentation box which includes instructions, the converter, and a starter pack of two ink cartridges. PacificPenWorks is an authorized retailer of all Pilot products, and all new pens are acquired directly from the manufacturer.
