Description
This OMAS for Gianni Versace Blue Gold fountain pen from the 1990’s represents a refined collaboration between two of Italy’s most celebrated luxury houses. The design harmoniously fuses Versace’s opulent aesthetic with OMAS’s tradition of luxury craftsmanship.
The cap crown bears Versace’s unmistakable Medusa emblem, while the cap and piston knob shimmer with an intricate gold overlay patterned in a crocodile-skin texture—an unmistakable nod to Versace’s bold, tactile design language. The classic Greek key motif, an enduring OMAS signature, appears twice on both the barrel and cap, and continues across the 18K gold nib and the length of the pocket clip. These recurring motifs subtly announce the pen’s dual heritage: the luxurious style of Versace and the meticulous artistry of OMAS.
Internally, the pen is entirely OMAS in construction and performance. It features a semi-soft Fine nib that offers a touch of expressive line variation, paired with a traditional hard rubber feed for smooth, consistent ink flow. The generously sized piston-filling mechanism ensures ample ink capacity, making it as practical as it is elegant.
Engraved GIANNI VERSACE 04680 on the barrel end, this pen remains in Near Mint condition and includes its original Versace presentation packaging—both outer and inner boxes—as well as the accompanying information pamphlet. From the personal collection of John Mottishaw, this pen stands as a rare and striking testament to Italian design synergy, where couture sophistication meets the art of fine writing.
