Description
This Marlen Aztlan Limited Edition is engraved with the date of manufacture, 1998, on the front band, and with the limited edition number, 115/375 AG, on the barrel.
Ink is drawn up by a twist button and gasket filler under a blind cap on the barrel end. This unique twist button filling system requires a firm grasp and significant pressure while filling, but gives the pen a very generous ink capacity. The middle band has a port through which one can see how much ink is left in the barrel.
As the motif clearly indicates, this pen is dedicated to the Aztec civilization. It has an inlaid gold over silver Aztec mask on the pocket clip.
It sports a large, pristine, 18k Medium nib over a hard rubber feed. The black and pearlescent celluloid barrel and cap refract light beautifully.
This pen, both highly collectible and highly usable for everyday writing, is from the personal collection of PacificPenWorks nib specialist John Mottishaw.
