This 1930’s Diamond Point Lapis Blue was turned from solid celluloid rod stock in Chicago and sports a semi-flexible Extra Fine nib.
Our free nib tuning with your purchase tests and tunes for optimal performance and adjusts angle, ink flow, and pressure to your own personal specifications. The simple fast flow feed and 14k tines make this nib an excellent candidate for our customization for added Flex, or enjoy the pen as is with some line-width variation from extra fine to medium broad.
Diamond Point Pens were made in Chicago in the late 1920’s and early 30’s in relatively small numbers compared to the big four fountain pen makers of the period, the heyday of celluloid pens.
This Diamond Point Lapis Blue pen is in excellent + condition showing no serious wear and no discoloration of the brilliant dark blue celluloid, a rarity in pens of this age. It comes with a fresh rubber bladder which holds a generous ink supply. It is from the Mottishaw collection.
