Description
This Bexley Grey Pearl Bandless Prototype has a solid gold 10k pocket clip and an early second generation injection molded feed that Bexley founder, Howard Levy, used to accommodate an international cartridge and converter.
This Bexley Grey Pearl fountain pen comes without a cap band, thus “bandless,” which is the name Parker Duofold pen collectors apply to an extremely scarce Parker red hard rubber fountain pen from the early 1920’s. This kind of respectful nod towards the past was highly typical of the Bexley brand during its heyday.
This Bexley Bandless prototype fountain pen is in near-mint condition. It comes complete with its original documentation and presentation box. The presentation box has some erosion of the rubberized outer surface, as seen in our images.
This rare writing instrument is from the personal collection of PacificPenWorks nib specialist John Mottishaw.
