Description
This Bexley Blue Deluxe Limited Edition was released as a limited edition of 100. The “P” stamped on the barrel end indicates that this is likely a prototype version, produced just ahead of the main production run of the pen.
Columbus, Ohio based Bexley was one of the major forces in the fountain pen revival of the 1990’s, and writing instruments from this early period in the company’s history are now scarce and in high demand.
At 5.6 inches long with the cap on and weighing 27 grams. this is a nicely balanced writing instrument. The pearlescent blue resin body of this Near Mint condition fountain pen shows iridescence as one rotates it in the hand.
The pocket clip was produced in 10k solid gold. A cartridge-converter pen that can use standard international size ink cartridges, including those we offer from Pelikan this pen comes equipped with its original converter.
The pen still has its worn outer sleeve, and the rosewood presentation box stamped with the Bexley name remains in immaculate condition.
This writing instrument comes from the private collection of PacificPenWorks nib specialist John Mottishaw.
