Available only through North American retailers, the Sailor 1911 Standard Loch Ness Monster is a broodingly beautiful writing instrument – you don’t need to be a “Nessie” fan to appreciate the design and craftsmanship of this fountain pen.
Sailor is renowned for the quality of their nibs. The Broad and Music nibs makes an excellent starting points for customizations such as Stub or Cursive Italic, while the Extra Fine nib is appropriate for our modification for added Flex.
Choose the unique Zoom nib for best results with our Architects Point customization. If the remaining nib choices are not fine enough for you, you can also choose regrind customizations to the finer Medium, Fine Medium, Fine, or Needlepoint tipping sizes.
Our complimentary nib tuning tests each pen and adjusts the ink flow and optimum pressure to your own personal specifications. We are an authorized Sailor retailer.
The 1911 Standard Loch Ness Monster is a cartridge-converter pen. It is supplied with a reusable ink converter that allows it to fill utilizing bottled fountain pen ink. It can also use handy Sailor ink cartridges, now available in a wide array of different colors.
