Description
The Sailor 1911 Standard Ninja Shachihoko is part of an exclusive, overseas-only collection that takes its inspiration from the unique weapons used by ninja warriors throughout Japanese history. Each pen features a beautifully rendered Yuubi Maki-e print on the barrel.
The Shachihoko has been part of Japanese folklore since the 8th century. As an ocean dweller able to control winds and rain, the Shachihoko is also associated with protection from fire – male and female Shachihoko sculptures are a frequent rooftop adornment in traditional Japanese building styles.
Sailor is renowned for the quality of their nibs. The Extra Fine, Fine, Medium Fine, and Medium nibs are all excellent choices for everyday writing. Our regrind to Needlepoint is available for those who would like the most ultra-fine of writing points.
The Music nib, meanwhile, makes an excellent starting point for customizations such as Stub, Left Oblique, or Cursive Italic. Choose the unique Zoom nib for best results with our Architects Point customization.
For those who wish to achieve line-width variation by carefully varying pressure while writing, our Flex modification is the choice. This is also a customization favored by those who simply enjoy having more feedback and grab from a nib while writing.
Our complimentary nib tuning tests each pen and adjusts the ink flow and optimum pressure to your own personal specifications. We are an authorized Sailor retailer.
