Visconti R.M.S. Titanic Limited Edition 1912
In Stock
Produced in an edition of only 1912 of which this pen is #422, the Visconti R.M.S. Titanic Limited Edition 1912 was produced in Florence, Italy to commemorate the tragic sinking of the Titanic in 1912. The clip symbolizes the Titanic, a ship-shaped part at the top of the clip, headed for the white pearl ball at the bottom, symbolizing the iceberg.
Description
At well over six inches long and with appropriately large girth, the Visconti R.M.S. Titanic Limited Edition 1912 is a very large fountain pen. It is in near mint condition, showing signs of having been filled, but nothing else shows wear.
It comes complete with inner blue lacquered presentation box, the outer sleeve box, as well as the original papers. It sports a very smooth broad 18K gold two-tone nib which is suitable for our customization to stub, italics or oblique cuts.
The spring loaded roller ball clip would hold this pen firmly in a very deep pocket. The blue and iridescent gold cap and barrel color are very similar to the Waterman’s celluloid 1932 Patrician Turquoise pen, which likely inspired the color choice. This Visconti R.M.S. Titanic pen is from the John Mottishaw collection.
