Kanazawa, the capital of Ishikawa Prefecture, is located on the west coast of Japan just south of Wajima and the Noto Peninsula. Kanazawa has been the center of Japanese gold leaf craft for hundreds of years. Artisans devote their entire lives to the perfection of their craft, and techniques are often passed down generationally within the same family.
The Fujin Raijin motif is one of the most powerful and ubiquitous in Japanese culture. Fujin is depicted with a large bag of wind, while Raijin is shown with drums and lightning bolts. Their pairing is symbolic of storms, lightning, and the power of nature – by they can also be seen as representative of balance, strength, and the power to protect.
Our free nib tuning sees to it that your pen is writing properly and tuned to the specifications you provide. Our optional nib customizations can add uniqueness and calligraphic styling to the writing you produce on the page.
Broader nibs are best for regrind customizations such as Architects Point and Stub, while finer nibs, particularly the Soft Fine, are most appropriate for the Flex customization.
Each pen ships in a special presentation box which includes instructions, the converter, and a starter ink cartridge. PacificPenWorks is an authorized retailer of Platinum products.
