Tibaldi Impero Limited Edition
Out of stock
This Tibaldi Impero Limited Edition is a true celluloid fountain pen numbered E006/300, although there is little evidence that the series was completed. Equipped with an 18k Medium nib, it comes in a very large outer presentation box which contains the pen and Tibaldi ink in a maplewood box as well as the #006 numbered book.
Description
This Tibaldi Impero Limited Edition was produced in two series, the first series of 300 for the Italian market, and the E series for the rest of the world. The pen body is in true Italian celluloid.
The accompanying hardcover first edition book, TIBALDI, A STORY OF FOUNTAIN PENS AND MEN, written by Letizia Lacopini, a well-known figure in the fountain pen world and Enrico Bettazzi, a scholar of Italian history, is also in near -mint condition. It was beautifully printed by Umberto Allemandi & C. and is filled with gorgeous images, fold outs, and clear text in English. This book illuminates the history of a famous Bologna, Italy pen company which began around 1916.
The maplewood display box contains a secret compartment under the Tibaldi ink and liner which has slots for seven additional pens. This is a remarkable low numbered edition of a scarce set that has become rare since it was produced in 1998. It is from the Mottishaw collection.
