At the conclusion of World War II Parker was riding high on the sales of the Parker 51, considered by many one of the finest pens ever made. Manufactured in Janesville, WI in the 3rd quarter of 1946, this Parker 51 1946 Gold-Filled Cap is in excellent condition and in its original box.
Description
This Parker 51 1946 Gold-Filled Cap is capped with a 1/8 14K gold filled lid and has a smooth fine hooded gold nib. The black resin body holds the restored Vacumatic filler and is 5 3/8” long in total. It is from the Mottishaw collection.
