Moore Fingertip Starlight Blue
In stock
The Moore Fingertip fountain pen was produced from 1946 to 1950, a short run for this unique tip design. The 14k solid gold nib on this Moore Fingertip Starlight Blue is set to entirely cover the feed and sports two vent holes as well as having an upswept tip. We do not recommend any customizations on this unique vintage nib. This pen is from the personal collection of John Mottishaw.
Description
The bullet-shaped stainless steel gripping section and enclosed nib of this Moore Fingertip Starlight Blue was an answer to the successful Parker 51 pen, a pen shape that had a major influence on pen design of the post-war era. This pen was produced in extremely small numbers by comparison with the Parker and is for that reason very scarce.
The cap and body of this Starlight Blue pen was made of moulded resin and the pen offered a lifetime warranty. The over-the-top clip fits the pen deep in the pocket and at just over 5” in length it did fit. This pen is fully restored and is in excellent+ condition.
