This Montegrappa 1912 Blue Pearl fountain pen is in near-mint condition and comes complete with all the original inner and outer boxes and papers. Trimmed with sterling silver wide cap band, clip and end medallions, it sports the original fine two-tone 18K nib.
The 1912 in the model name of this Montegrappa 1912 Blue Pearl boasts the date of the origin of the company in Italy. It has a surprisingly large piston fill reservoir that in combination with the fine nib will write smoothly for page after page. This is a substantial fountain pen, their biggest model, and at 5 3/8” long and weighing in at 45g. with feel comfortable in even the largest of hands. This pen is from the Mottishaw collection.
