Description
This Waterman 52 1/2 V measures 4 1/2” long with the cap on and holds a surprising amount of ink with its fresh rubber bladder. The imprints are crisp on both the barrel and on the barrel end, which shows the code for the model.
The Waterman 52 was a keystone of this company’s offerings from the 1910’s through 1930’s – this is a true piece of fountain pen history. With its wide gold band and remarkable condition, this little pen is a great addition to any collection.
Waterman’s used this code to indicate the pen, in order:
5 = lever filler
2 = the nib size
1/2 = smaller diameter
V = vest pocket
This pen is from the personal collection of PacificPenWorks nib specialist John Mottishaw.
